World's Highest-altitude Meteorological Radar Station – Jiama Mountain, 5,474 Meters Above Sea Level
To strengthen severe weather monitoring and short-range forecasting across Xizang and further support local economic development, the Xizang Autonomous Region Meteorological Bureau selected our all-solid-state X-band Doppler weather radar for deployment. All stations sit above 4,600 meters above sea level, with Jiama Mountain Radar Station in Maizhokunggar County reaching an impressive 5,474 meters—where harsh conditions made construction extremely challenging and put our product performance to a tough test. Our engineering team rose to the occasion in August 2018, overcoming brutal weather and poor accessibility to deliver the station on time with top quality; operating fully unattended via remote control and real-time video monitoring, the radar has withstood Xizang’s harsh high-altitude climate for 318 consecutive days and counting, boasting maintenance-free operation and low failure rates that ease operator workload and earned high praise from our client, a testament to our robust engineering and product capabilities.
