Celebrating our company's successful completion of the meteorological support mission for the 70th anniversary conference commemorating Tibet's peaceful liberation.

  8 On the 19th, a grand rally celebrating the 70th anniversary of Tibet's peaceful liberation was held in Lhasa. This grand and solemn Daqing event was nothing short of spectacular, fully showcasing the comprehensive progress and historic achievements made over the past 70 years—especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China—under the strong leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the steadfast guidance of the CPC Central Committee in Tibet’s economic and social development.

To ensure the smooth operation of this Daqing event and prevent disruptions caused by unusual weather conditions, our company’s technical support team conducted a comprehensive pre-inspection of all eight solid-state X-band Doppler weather radars located in the Tibet region. Given that all weather radar stations in Tibet are situated at altitudes exceeding 4,600 meters—among them, the Jarma Mountain radar station in Motuo Gongka County stands at an even higher elevation of 5,471 meters—the inspection process was both time-sensitive and highly demanding. Despite the harsh conditions—such as extreme cold, thin air, and significant temperature fluctuations between day and night—our dedicated technical staff remained steadfast, embodying the spirit of "tackling challenges head-on and never giving up." They meticulously inspected each radar station one by one, even spending over eleven hours working atop the 5,471-meter-high Jarma Mountain. Ultimately, the inspection mission was successfully completed just before the Daqing event, ensuring that the activities could proceed smoothly without being affected by weather-related setbacks.

The Lhasa Weather Radar Monitoring System Project, undertaken by our company's engineering team at the Tibet Autonomous Region Meteorological Bureau, was no easy feat. Despite facing numerous challenges—such as harsh weather conditions, steep and rugged mountain terrain, and extremely difficult transportation access—the project team persevered and successfully completed the construction after two grueling years. Once the X-band series of meteorological radar stations are operational, they will play a vital role in fostering comprehensive, sustainable economic and social development along the region, while also strengthening ethnic unity and ensuring long-term stability in the area.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has attached great importance to Tibet's work and deeply cared for people of all ethnic groups in Tibet. In July of this year, General Secretary Xi Jinping personally visited Tibet for an inspection, warmly affirming the remarkable achievements Tibet has made over the past 70 years since its peaceful liberation. He extended the heartfelt care and best wishes of the Party Central Committee to cadres and people of all ethnic groups in Tibet. Over the past 70 years since Tibet's peaceful liberation, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee and with the robust support of people across the country, cadres and residents of all ethnic groups in Tibet have worked tirelessly and pressed forward with determination, driving comprehensive economic and social development while significantly improving their livelihoods.
